High school student Totsuko can see people in "colors."
Totsuko decides to form a band with Kimi, a girl with beautiful colors who attends the same school, and Rui, a music-loving boy she meets at a second-hand bookstore on the outskirts of town. Each member, including Totsuko, has their own troubles that they can't tell anyone about... The band practices at an old church on a remote island.
As the three connect through music, friendship and a faint feeling like love begins to grow between them.
They try too hard to fit in with others, get hurt alone, and pretend to be someone they're not - eventually the school festival arrives and their first live performance.
